Wine, Barrel and Board
Oak barrels have been at the heart of wine production for centuries, first being used to transport and then ferment wine. The Nadalié family has been making oak wine barrels in Ludon-Médoc, France since 1902, allowing the company to master every detail of the subtle and complex art of cooperage. The current generation of three Nadalié brothers continue to produce products that allow the world’s wines to flourish and show their beauty.
This particular Tonnellerie Nadalié barrel was imported by Cathedral Ridge Vineyards in Hood River, Oregon and held its first vintage of Cabernet Sauvignon grown on Elephant Mountain (Wapato, WA) in the blistering heat of the summer of 2015. The barrel was used three more seasons before being retired, and then was purchased by the Rowe Family Farm/Hundred Acre Woodworking to create this 36-inch tempered glass-topped table which is stained and sealed for use indoors or out.In addition to the table, this auction package includes a handmade Oregon charcuterie board from 3rd Wheel Woodworking (Portland OR) and a case of library wines from eastern and western Oregon (Rowe Family Farm, Sandy, OR).
