The Taste of Camp provides funding to make Camp Rosenbaum free to low-income families and also supports programs for summer activity and athletic camps in the Portland metropolitan area. 

We are proud to present the Fred M. Rosenbaum Humanitarian Award to Retired Brigadier General Bruce Prunk and his wife, Jan Prunk, who have both been instrumental in creating partnership with the Portland Police Bureau, continuing our lasting partnership with the Oregon National Guard, and fundraising to support youth from families living in low-income housing.

Camp Rosenbaum brings together military, police, firefighters, housing authorities, and business volunteers to provide a once-in-a-lifetime experience for our children from low-income families throughout Oregon and SW Washington. It is the only camp in the country to bring this diverse group together, all for the kids.

Last summer we were finally able to host both of our camps after a two-year break and we couldn’t be more excited to continue serving and mentoring today’s youth in 2023!
